On Tuesday, February 20, the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) preliminary draw will take place.
The Confederation of Africans (CAF) headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, will host the draw.
At 12:00 PM GMT, the draw will take place at 14:00 local time.
The eight clubs with the lowest rankings in the most recent FIFA ranking will compete in the preliminary round.
The teams are: South Sudan, Liberia, Djibouti, Eswatini, Chad, Mauritius, Somalia, and Sao Tome.
The games will be contested during the FIFA Window, which runs from March 18–26, 2024, both at home and away.
For the group stage, the 44 exempted teams will be joined by the four winners of the preliminary round.
The biggest soccer competition in Africa will take place in Morocco in the near future.
The previous competition was won by the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire.
