Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has cautioned his team to capitalize on every goal-scoring opportunity as they prepare to face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League Round of 16 tonight.
Inzaghi, whose side currently leads Serie A, emphasized to TribalFootball the challenge of playing against a team with a strong mentality under their coach.
“Predicting tonight’s outcome isn’t simple. In their recent games, Atletico has shown different styles. Against Las Palmas, they were very aggressive, but in the Super Cup, their attitude was different, and in the game against Seville, they showed another side.”
“They now have more dribbling, technical prowess, and quality players than before. It’s uncertain how the match will unfold, but we know we’re up against a formidable team with a coach who has instilled a strong mentality.”
Reflecting on his experience at Inter, Inzaghi highlighted the team’s resilience last season, rotating eight players every three days to achieve success in the final three months.
