It seemed almost certain that Moise Kean would leave Juventus for Atletico Madrid during the January transfer window. The Italian international was looking for a new opportunity as his playing time at Juventus was limited. Both Juventus and Atletico Madrid were open to a deal, with Atletico favoring a loan arrangement that would involve a €500,000 fee for the latter half of the season. The deal would have included a buyout clause for the summer if Atletico’s coach, Diego Simeone, decided to keep Kean in Madrid.
However, the deal fell through in the last few days of the window, reportedly due to Atletico’s concerns about Kean’s recovery from an existing injury. Kean has expressed his disappointment about the failed move and is now focusing on getting back into the Juventus squad before the season ends.

He was quoted in Diario AS saying, “It was very tough. I felt let down for a moment. I was with my mother and my family and I felt like I had disappointed them.” But he also shared that his mother helped him realize that life goes on and he needs to take responsibility and work hard.
There’s a possibility that Atletico might show interest in Kean again in the summer, but there’s no clear indication of Simeone’s transfer plans at this point.
