Randy Waldrum, the head coach of the Super Falcons, believes his team will defeat the South African Banyana Banyana to earn a spot in the 2024 Olympic Games.
The opening leg of the last round qualifier between Nigeria and South Africa will take place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Friday.
The rematch is scheduled for Tuesday of next week in Pretoria.

The overall victor will undoubtedly be sent to Paris in 2024.
“This team is a generational team, no disrespect to the other teams. We saw the talent and depth that is coming into the team against some of the best teams in the world in Australia (FIFA Women’s World Cup),” Waldrum said to NFF TV.
“We can keep going forward and dominate the global scene.
“We have the potential to be among the greatest teams in the world, and this team is unique.”
Nonetheless, Waldrum acknowledged the Banyana Banyana with reverence.

The coach said, “South Africa is a very good side; they are defending African champions and we have to respect them.”
They are incredibly dangerous up front thanks to their abundance of individual quality, and their coach has them well-organized.
“However, I have great faith in my players.”
