Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, expressed his belief that Jose Mourinho has the qualities necessary to manage Barcelona. Peseiro, who led Nigeria to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where they were defeated 2-1 by Ivory Coast, shared his thoughts in an interview with the Spanish outlet, Sport.

Mourinho is currently without a managerial position following his dismissal from Roma. However, Peseiro, who is a close friend of the Portuguese coach, stated that Mourinho would thrive at Barcelona if given the opportunity.

“As a Portuguese and a good friend of Mourinho, I like him,” Peseiro told Sport. “I would like Mourinho to coach Barça because he needs to be in a team that aims to win everything, as he is a born winner.”

Peseiro continued, “I am sure he would succeed because of the demands he places on everyone and everything around him, every day, every minute, to build a winning team.”
