The Super Falcons camp buzzed with activity on Tuesday as 11 players arrived ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games qualifying matches against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses. Head coach Randy Waldrum and his assistants also joined the camp, with Waldrum recently extending his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Waldrum last led the Super Falcons at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Goalkeepers Chiamaka Nnadozie, Tochukwu Oluehi, Linda Jiwaku, and Akudo Ogbonna were among the early arrivals, along with players Rasheedat Ajibade, Michelle Alozie, Tosin Demehin, Rofiat Imuran, Abiodun Deborah, Ifeoma Onumonu, and Gift Monday.

Ten more players are expected to join the camp. Nigeria will play the first leg of the third round qualifying fixture in Douala on Friday, with the return leg scheduled for the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja next Monday. The Super Falcons have not qualified for the last three Olympic Games.
