Under the guidance of Desiree Ellis, the team landed in Abuja on Sunday to acclimatize to the demanding weather conditions in Nigeria’s capital. Kgoale emphasized the importance of mental toughness in facing the upcoming challenges.
“We understand the significance of being mentally resilient. Nigeria poses a formidable challenge as they have a strong track record in Wafcon and the World Cups,” Kgoale stated to the Sowetan.
“Although the air is thicker here compared to back home, having spent nearly six years playing in the United States, I am familiar with such weather conditions. It feels like breathing in heat. The grass may also feel denser, but I am confident that within two days, we will have adjusted accordingly.”
